Today we visited a bit of Melbourne with my uncle and my aunt. We went to the Victoria Market, a super cool market with lots of things, souvenirs and food. The market is apparently a very old one, it was nice! After that we visited the Royal Botanical Garden, it's a park full of trees (that's kinda obvious), trees we are not used to see in Belgium at least!
After that, at around 13.00, we left the family to go on the Great Ocean Road. We stopped on the way to see the landscape, it was very nice. We saw lots of surfers in the sea, it was sunny and nice.
We were supposed to sleep at a couchsurfer's place in a city called Warrnambool (cute name), but actually we underestimated the time it would take to go there so this evening we stopped in front of the Twelve Apostles. We were in the middle of the forest, we couldn't see anything more, so we decided to stop there. The guy was comprehensive, he was nice, it's a shame we couldn't go to his place. We are now in a youth hostel, it's not as nice and cheap as the ones in China but it's clean! The city we are in is quite small, and everything closes a 20h30, even the restaurants... well one restaurant was open but when we arrived we were the last ones they would feed, at 21h00 the kitchen was closed!
The city looks kinda empty but in the hostel there is a whole bus of tourists so we are not all alone in this part of the world!
Tomorrow we'll see the Twelve Apostles by day, and then we'll meet a couchsurfer lady in Mount Gambier, she's nice she already suggested things to see on the way!
