Second day on HCMC

This morning we visited the war remnants museum, a tad propagandist, where we can read and see all about the American atrocities. Don't google agent orange.

After that we went to see my mom's house when she lived here in Saigon! The street was really busy, I tried to talk to the neighbors who didn't move out but didn't find anyone from that time. I still took a picture though! We went to see a market not so far, it was really hot and humid, we got sunburnt on the shoulders!

We had a banh mi for lunch, the typical Vietnamese sandwich, then went for a massage. It was not a happy ending but the girl really hurt me! She tried to bend my feet the other way, it's not supposed to do that. Eventually she made me sit, sat behind me, knees against my back, took me by the arms and bent me backwards! I was lying back on her knees, that was weird and a bit painful but bearable. Overall my masseuse was quite gentle, Céline had a guy do that to her.

We took a taxi several times now, it's really easier than in China. They are plentiful and stop when you make a sign, they automatically use the meter, and they can read addresses, which is not the case up north! Because it's easy this way, we went to the top choice for restaurants in the evening, even though it's a bit far, we ate in the garden it was beautiful. Everything was really tasty, we had fish, soft shell crabs, zucchini flowers, fried tofu...

Food IS really good here indeed!

Tomorrow we'll take a bus to go to the mekong delta, where we'll spend a night. The following day we'll visit the delta, then go back to HCMC to take a bus to Mui Ne.

  3. On a croisé un salon de coiffure où mes coiffeuses avaient tous des gros seins et une robe qui cache plus grand chose... J'ai hésité!
